Sleaford Striders Athletic Club are proud help to organise and run a number of races throughout the year. 

Our race schedule typically includes.

Sleaford Half Marathon

Normally taking place in March, the course starts and ends at Eslaforde Park, Sleaford and heads through the picturesque Lincolnshire countryside and pretty villages of Kirby La Thorpe, Evedon, Ewerby and Howell. It is a mainly flat road course, with some gentle undulating sections, including a small section (approx 1 mile) down a private farm lane. There is a technical t-shirt and medal for all finishes.

There is also a 3k family fun run which starts shortly after the main runners have set off.

Sleaford Striders Summer 10k

Winner of the “Best 10k in the East Midlands 2018”, the run starts and finishes in the village of Scredington, on the outskirts of Sleaford. The event normally takes place at 7pm on the first Friday in August, and runs down some quiet rural lanes, with small undulating sections.

There is a 3k family fun run starting shortly after the main runners have set off, and all profits are given to local charities\good causes. 

There is a medal for all finishers, and lots of CAKE!!! (baked by the Sleaford Striders)

Heckington 10 Mile Road Race

The “Heckington 10” is the oldest road race in the Midlands, first held in 1965, and takes place as part of the annual Heckington Show weekend. The race is run in association with Sleaford Striders AC across rural Lincolnshire roads. Entering the race also includes free entry to the Show, and there are a number of prizes for both individuals and teams.
