Social Activities

Social Calendar
We have an active social calendar, supported by our hard-working Social Committee.
Every year there is a great mix of adult-only and family activities.
From walking trips to the Peak District, Bowling nights, quizzes and family fun days.

Striders on European Tour
Every year, the Striders participate in a selected international race.
In 2018, more than 30 members travelled to Spain to compete in the Bilbao Night Race, which included 10k, half marathon, and full marathon events.
Since then, the group has ventured to Lucerne, Bergen, Luxembourg and Lisbon.
2025, the Sleaford Striders will be traveling to Budapest!
Striders will have the opportunity to compete in a 10k, a half marathon, or a full marathon, or just socialise!
A Chance to Volunteer
Many of the events and activities run by the club rely on volunteers.
We have a committee who determines who or what we need as a club each year.
The committee members will make requests for support when we need it.
To encourage volunteers the club has a policy on paying for courses or the certification needed by those volunteers to ensure we offer the best club experience!
