For this challenge, the ultimate goal is for a Strider to run or walk 1000 miles in one year.
Our Adult Striders can keep a track of their running (or walking) miles in an online log.
We celebrate 500, 750 & 1000 miles with Bronze, Silver & Gold medals respectively at the end of year presentations.
This isn’t mandatory, if you don’t want to participate, no problem.
The club also an annual target of achieving a combined total of 100,000 miles of running or walking
As individuals records their runs online (via the online running log) the total is collated at the end of the year.
The challenge runs from November to November each year.
We have some simple rules for this challenge – daily steps don’t count for example!
* Individuals much choose to run or walk; it is one or the other.
* Running miles must be completed outside and not on a treadmill.
* Walking miles are allowed – but only as specific training or exercise walks, not just steps and general day to day walking around.
* Ideally miles should be logged monthly, so we can show our progress.
