Woodall Spa 10k 2015.
Jim Hopkins stole the show at Woodhall Spa 10k smashing his PB by over 2 minutes in a brilliant time of 43:49. A fantastic effort !
Other PBs were achieved by Darrell Williamson (50:52) & Steve Robinson (45:40).
Iain Bailey was the first Strider home, finishing 6th overall, in 33:08 – a brilliant run in the hot conditions.
First lady Strider was Julie Green in 50:53.
There was a fantastic turn out by Striders with over 20 runners – well done everyone.

Grantham Track and Field Meeting.
Both Senior and Juniors had a great meeting at Grantham, wining a total of 21 medals – 6 Gold, 5 Silver & 10 Bronze.
The Gold medalists were – Euan Owen (U13 Shot), Bethan Owen (U20 800m), James Hebden (U15 Long Jump), Tom Wilkinson (U13 Javelin), Iain Bailey (5,000m) & Chris Bertins (800m).
The Silver medalists were – Erin Disdell (U13 Shot), Jack James (U15 800m), Charlotte Bailey (U13 Discus), James Hebden (U15 High Jump) & Cerys Chapman (U15 1500m).
The Bronze medalists were – Jack James (U15 Long Jump), Euan Owen (U13 100m & U13 High Jump), Bethan Owen (U20 100m), Alicia Costa (U13 200m), Tom Wilkinson (U13 200m), Charlotte Bailey (U13 High Jump), Ella Owen (U15 High Jump) & Erin Disdell (U13 Long Jump).
Kings Lynn 10k 2015.
Race 4 of the 2015 race series took place in a soaking wet Kings Lynn on Sunday.
A strong team of striders braved the bad weather and some good times were achieved.
Steve Robinson got a new 10k PB with a time of 46:23. London Marathon 2015.
Six Striders took part in the London Marathon. Adam Runacres was aiming to break the world record for the fastest time dressed as a jockey! He was just outside the time but a fantastic effort to complete the course in 3:54.
Elsewhere Sandy Telfer clocked 3:11:04, Dave Burton 3:17:10, Bill Rayner 4:18:18 and Clive Holden 5:29:42.
Ann Riddell put in a great effort, whilst on target for a time under 5 hours, disaster struck with 1 mile to go she collapsed and came round in a medical tent. She recovered well.
The whole club are proud of everyone involved.
Grantham Cup 2015.
The 2015 race series continued with the very challenging Grantham Cup at Belton House. Over a hilly 10k cross country course striders were out in force and had some good times.
Alan Oliver was first home in 39:51 closely followed by John Siddens in 40:16.

Manchester Marathon 2015.
Striders were out in force at the Manchester Marathon. We had competitors in the full marathon and the relay. Simon Jackson and Andy Dickinson led the way coming home in 3:32 closely followed by Emma Marshall-Teller in 3:34.
Darrell Williamson completed his first marathon in a brilliant time of 3:57 with Jim Millar finishing in 4:40.

Spring Summer Predictor.
Thanks to everyone who took part in the Easter Egg Predictor. The winner was Alan Buckberry who got within 19 seconds of his time. Jim Millar and Clare Wells were 2nd and 3rd. A fantastic morning with loads of Easter Eggs collected for the Sleaford New Life Community Larder.
Rauceby Ripper 2015.
There was a fantastic turnout by Striders at The Rauceby Ripper on Saturday morning.
The course was very muddy but some excellent performances were put in for the first race in this years race series.

New website.
We are pleased to launch our brand new website and logo. Our old site had done us proud but we felt it was time for a change.
The goal of the website is to keep members up to date with all that is going on Striders related as well as providing all the information prospective members are looking for.
Christmas Predictor
As last year, a juniors race will take place at 10.15 around the playing field followed by the adults 6 mile (ish) run.
The aim of the predictor is to predict your time and the closest to their predicted time (without the aid of watches of other timing devices) is the winner.
The Football club will also be providing mince pies and soup for a very reasonable price! Striders friends and family are all welcome!

There is now a group running from the swimming pool in Sleaford on a Monday at 8.15pm. It’s a really good mix of abilities and we’re normally out for about 45mins.
